The paper entitled `` Gender and Race Heterogeneity: The Impact of Students with Limited English on Native Students\u0027 Performance\u2019\u2019 is coauthored with Tim Diette.\u0026nbsp; This paper is focused on testing for heterogeneity across race and gender in peer effects of Limited English (LE) students on native students\u2019 performance in math and reading in North Carolina.\u0026nbsp; North Carolina experienced the highest increase in immigrants in the 90s, making it a state appropriate for this type of analysis.\u0026nbsp; Using econometric methods they provide evidence for heterogeneity in effects across race and gender.
