  <title><![CDATA[Durham University Offers Fellowships]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Durham University is delighted to announce the fourth round of the Durham International Fellowship Scheme, designed to attract the most talented researchers in Europe and beyond and across the full spectrum of science, social science, arts and humanities, to build international networks of scholars with a common passion for today’s most important research challenges.</p><p>Up to 11 postdoctoral <strong>Junior Research Fellowships</strong> are available commencing between 1 July 2014 and 1 October 2014.&nbsp; The closing date for applications is<strong> 06 December 2013.&nbsp; </strong>The normal period of the Fellowship will be 12 – 15 months.&nbsp; We have applied to the EU for a formal extension to the DIFeREns project until 30 September 2016, and to extend Fellowships to that date (to a total of 24 – 27 months) if Fellows so desire.&nbsp; Applicants are requested to state whether they would wish to extend their Fellowship and to explain how the additional time would be used.&nbsp; Starting salaries will be in the range £30,424–£34,223&nbsp;p.a.</p><p>In addition, up to ten <strong>Senior Research Fellowships</strong> and seven <strong>Policy &amp; Enterprise Fellowships</strong> are available.&nbsp; The closing date for applications is<strong> 10 January 2014</strong>.&nbsp; Fellowships are available for periods of 6 weeks to 6 months between October 2014 and September 2015 (with a typical stay of 3 months).&nbsp; Applications are considered from researchers with an established or emerging international reputation for scholarship or research leadership.</p><p>Details on the scheme and how to apply can be found at: <a href="http://www.durham.ac.uk/ias/diferens/"><strong>www.durham.ac.uk/ias/diferens/</strong></a></p><p>To meet the eligibility requirements of the EU Marie Curie programme, applicants may not have resided in the UK for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the reference date for this call (1 July 2014).</p><p>Funded in part by the European Union through the COFUND programme.</p>]]></body>
