  <title><![CDATA[Pishdad-Bozorgi is recognized as a recipient of the ASC Regional Excellence Teaching Award]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Georgia Tech School of Building Construction Assistant Professor Pardis Pishdad-Bozorgi was recognized as an outstanding professor for her excellence in teaching by the Associated Schools of Construction. Pishdad's recognition in teaching was acknowledged by the ASC Region II Director, Professor Ben Farrow at the Award Banquet Ceremony of the Region 2 Student Competition and Faculty Conference in Peachtree City, Georgia on November 1<sup>st</sup>, 2013.</p><p>Being selected as a recipient of the Region 2 Excellence Teaching Award, Pishdad will now compete for the ASC Excellence Teaching Award at the national level. She will be one of eight faculty members selected from the ASC regions, which include over one hundred of the best construction education programs in the US. The ASC National Teaching Excellence Award is made&nbsp;annually to a faculty member of an ASC member school&nbsp;from the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. This award recognizes the faculty member's contribution to construction education, excellence in teaching, national/international service to the Associated Schools of Construction, and dedication to the construction profession.</p><p>Pardis Pishdad-Bozorgi is an assistant professor at the School of Building Construction and the faculty advisor for the Student Construction Association (SCA). She teaches Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Capstone courses. Based on her teaching performance, she is selected to be a teaching fellow member by Georgia Tech’s Center for Enhanced Teaching and Learning.</p><p>Pishdad's lab is focused on emerging and evolutionary trends, such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). She has been awarded multiple funded research projects both at the institution and national levels. Her background and approach make her a well-sought speaker within the Academic Institutes and Industry Professional Circles.</p>]]></body>
