Students Rank IAC Public Policy Graduate Program #8 in the Nation

A new student ranking by Graduate Programs shows that students rate the Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy (SPP) graduate program #8 in the country within the field.

The rankings were compiled from ratings and reviews by current or recent graduate students posted on graduateprograms.com.

Faculty and students in SPP work at the dynamic intersection of public policy and science and technology. In collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, the faculty, students, and researchers within the school examine innovative solutions to pressing policy challenges: governing the internet, delivering health care services to vulnerable populations, combating climate change, growing sustainable communities, strengthening the scientific enterprise, and accelerating technological innovation. A distinctive strength is the integration of ethical inquiry into rigorous policy research and teaching. SPP researcher examines state and local policies, where novel approaches are often first introduced, as well as national and international policies, where the virtue of scale is often matched by the difficulty of implementation. Typical career pathways for SPP students include joining the professoriate, or the public service ranks as a high level policy analyst or regulatory affairs manager.

Direct inquiries about the School of Public Policy Graduate Program to kim.isett@pubpol.gatech.edu
