The BeltLine, Fort McPherson, the Atlanta Falcons replacement stadium, and the Multimodal Passenger Terminal collectively represent roughly $5 billion in development in and around some of the city's "most neglected and ignored citizens and their neighborhoods." One strategy borrowed from the London 2012 Olympics and outlined by Dobbins is a binding compact for hiring residents from the six Neighborhood Planning Units surrounding the project sites and a complementary job development organization to train residents.
