This part-time, primarily on-line program has been developed by the College Student Affairs Administration program at UGA and the members of the Regents Administrative Committee on Student Affairs (RACSA), which includes all Chief Student Affairs Officers in the University System of Georgia.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EGoals for this program:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E1. Provide doctoral-level education for student affairs professionals in the state of Georgia and nationally who are employed full-time and need a part-time doctoral program.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E2. Educate scholar practitioners who will lead their institutions in creating enhanced and effective environments conducive to student learning and development.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E3. Create a doctoral-level educational opportunity for student affairs professionals at institutions in more rural settings or at institutions that do not offer post-master\u0027s education.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003EThe three-year program (with an optional fourth year, if needed, for dissertation completion) will be situated on the Griffin Campus with some summer courses taught on the Athens campus. Students will be required to complete two courses each term (fall, spring, and summer). Most of the coursework will be delivered in a blended format using on-line education with face-to-face meetings several times during a semester.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAdmissions Criteria\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003ELeadership Experience: The applicant must be currently employed in a position in a Student Affairs Division at a higher education institution or organization, that is, in a role in which they can apply the knowledge and skills learned in the program to effect change in their organization. Applicants must have 2 years of full-time work experience in student affairs, post-master\u0027s degree.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003EMaster\u0027s Degree: The applicant must have successfully completed a master\u0027s degree, from an accredited college or university, in an area relevant to this degree.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EApplication Materials:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E1. Graduate School and Department applications\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E2. Transcripts: Official transcripts from each institution attended.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E3. Official report of GRE scores\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E4. Letter of support from your current CSAO\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E5. Personal Statement of Goals: \u0026nbsp;An essay explaining the applicant\u0027s career goals and the relationship between the degree program and the applicant\u0027s career goals.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E6. Recommendations: \u0026nbsp;Three letters of reference. At least two letters should be from individuals who can describe the applicant\u0027s academic abilities for completing a doctoral program. One letter should be from an individual who can document the applicant\u0027s potential for executive leadership in Student Affairs or higher education.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022p1\u0022\u003E7.
