Print collections with the call number ranges A to HC110 are impacted.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAccording to the Georgia Tech Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), test results indicate the asbestos is limited to the 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor west stacks area. This stacks area will be sealed off using a negative pressure enclosure during the abatement process, which is scheduled to begin this weekend. Other spaces on the 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor or in the Library were not affected. The cubicle study area of 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor west is scheduled to reopen next week.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOut of an abundance of caution, all books from the 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor west stacks (call numbers A-HC110) will be removed and cleaned during the abatement process. The cleaning process is expected to take 6-8 weeks. As volumes are cleaned they will progressively be relocated to 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor east, and catalog records will be updated daily as the books move to 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor east.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EEvery effort is being made by Library staff to minimize inconvenience to users. During the abatement period, if you need a book from the 3\u003Csup\u003Erd\u003C\/sup\u003E floor west, contact the Library Service Desk via phone, chat, email, or in person (\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/library.gatech.edu\/services\/help.php\u0022\u003Ehttp:\/\/library.gatech.edu\/services\/help.php\u003C\/a\u003E).
