  <title><![CDATA[Christine Ries To Present Panel on Edtech Space]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;</p><p>Georgia Tech is one of the key players is the emerging ecosystem of innovating edtech institutions.&nbsp; One of our innovations is the introduction of the flipped classroom or hybrid learning and Dr. Christine Ries joins several other faculty members in science and engineering systems who are flipping their classes.&nbsp;</p><p>The founders of three startups that are already major players in the edtech space will be presenting a panel discussion in Dr. Ries’ class (IC 115), Thursday, Sept. 19, from 3:00-4:30.&nbsp; Mike Messner (<a href="http://net-texts.com">net-texts.com</a>), Jeff Levy (Office hours) and Jamie Caras (Sapling Learning, joining by video), will engage in discussion of how their personal experiences generated the ‘solution’ that became the start of their company.&nbsp; They will also talk about how the idea grew into a product and the particular challenges and inflection points along their growth pathways.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></body>
