On Sept 6, 2013, Professors Olga Shemyakina and Shatakshee Dhongde presented their research at SOAR: Symposium on Opportunity and Access Research (SOAR), organized by the Ivan Allen College's Center for Urban Innovation. Professor Shemyakina discussed her research on armed conflict and household decision-making. Professor Dhongde discussed her research on difficulties in obtaining precise estimates of global poverty and on the impact of globalization on poverty and inequality.
