237651 news 1379335461 1475896493 <![CDATA[NSF awards $293k supplement to Goodman]]> Seymour (Sy) Goodman, professor in The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the College of Computing was awarded a $293,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to support scholarships for graduate students pursuing degrees and research in cybersecurity. The grant is supplemental to the $1.25 million grant awarded  in 2009.

Goodman is co-director of the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) and the Center for International Strategy Technology, and Policy (CISTP). Goodman was recently reappointed to the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National Research Council of the National Academies.

Co-Principal Investigator on the grant is Assistant Professor Patrick Traynor in the College of Computing.
