Additional co-sponsors may be listed at a later date.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;The seminar will provide students and faculty to discuss Johnson\u2019s work and scholarship in an informal setting. Johnson will discuss trauma narratives and the way they use techniques to reflect the complicated, psychological process of trauma. By combining a critical and creative approach, he will show, through a sampling of essays, short stories and novels, how trauma narratives make special use of architecture, temporality and narrative strategy to produce forms that challenge traditional conventions and reader expectations.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;Due to limited space, reservations are required. A Whiting Writers\u2019 Award winner, his work has appeared in\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EEsquire\u003C\/em\u003E,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EHarper\u2019s, Playboy, GQ, Paris Review, Granta, Tin House, The New York Times \u003C\/em\u003Eand\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EBest American Short Stories. \u003C\/em\u003EHe is the author of\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EEmporium\u003C\/em\u003E, a short-story collection, and the novel\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EParasites Like Us\u003C\/em\u003E.\u0026nbsp;His books have been translated into twenty-three languages.\u0026nbsp;Johnson was a 2010 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow. \u0026nbsp;His novel\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EThe Orphan Master\u2019s Son\u003C\/em\u003E was published in 2012 by Random House and received the 2013 Pulitzer Prize in fiction.
