Louchez\u2019s seminar on \u201cThe Internet of Things and the Future of Manufacturing\u201d will begin at noon in Room 114 of the Callaway Manufacturing Research Building.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAlain Louchez is the Managing Director of the Center for the Development and Application of Internet of Things Technologies (CDAIT) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). He is in charge of directing the Internet of Things (IoT)-related development efforts across the Georgia Institute of Technology.\u0026nbsp; He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and the Georgia Tech Lorraine (European campus) Advisory Board.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EPrior to joining Georgia Tech, he held various executive positions including Vice President for BellSouth (now AT\u0026amp;T) Europe; Executive Director of BellSouth France, General Manager of GTE\/Verizon Media Ventures\u2019 wireless video operations in Hawaii; and President \u0026amp; CEO of Wireless Communications Technology (Houston, TX), a spin-off of Prodigy Communications, Inc. Most recently, he was Vice President of Strategic Management at Numerex, a company focused on machine-to-machine communications (M2M).
