As you prepare to leave, remember that your Georgia Tech connection is never completely severed. Here is a general overview of what happens to your GT account when you enter the world beyond GT.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWhat You Lose \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EYou become a former student when you have not registered for 2 consecutive terms. Once that happens, many of the online resources will no longer be available to you. But don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ll notify you before we remove your access. Some of these expiring services include:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003ELAWN (wireless network)\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E GT\u2019s wireless network will be unavailable after you become a former student. For more information about LAWN, go to \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/lawn.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003Ehttp:\/\/lawn.gatech.edu\/\u003C\/a\u003E. \u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003Cem\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003EPrism (2 GB cloud storage on GT servers) \u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E If you have stored files on Prism including any Prism public web sites you\u2019ve created, be sure to relocate any work you want to keep. You will no longer have access to login to my.gatech.edu or mail.gatech.edu. Any email you wish to keep should be saved\/downloaded from MyGaTech to your own resource before your access expires. \u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003Cbr \/\u003E However, former students who are in good standing with the Institute have the option of receiving Email Forwarding for Life (EMFL). EMFL will NOT provide you with a mailbox within the Georgia Tech email system, but it will allow you to keep your GT email alias (the @gatech.edu address), which will then forward messages on to any valid email address that you have. Even if you already have been forwarding your email using your GT alias, please login to PassPort and make sure that your GT mailbox address (the @mail.gatech.edu address) is removed from your alias delivery. Otherwise, anyone that emails you after MyGaTech expires will receive an \u201cUndelivered\u201d reply, even though the message is still forwarded to you. Here are some resources that will be available to you for life:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003EPassPort (the Personal Account Self Service Portal)\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E This site allows you to manage your GT account, control your GT alias (EMFL), manage your Hints, and change your password if needed.\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/passport.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Ehttps:\/\/passport.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003EBuzzPort\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Through BuzzPort, former students will be able to maintain access to the Student Information System (OSCAR) in order to obtain transcripts, for example.\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/buzzport.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Ehttps:\/\/buzzport.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003ET-Square\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Former students will continue to have access to Tech\u2019s course management and collaboration system, T-Square, albeit in a more limited fashion.\u003Cbr \/\u003E \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/tsquare.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Ehttp:\/\/tsquare.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWhat You Can Get\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAfter leaving Tech, you will be able to access some services and resources for only a certain amount of time, or in some cases for a fee. These include:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cem\u003ELibrary Resources\u003C\/em\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E Alumni can access GT Library print materials, if they register through the GT Alumni Association.
