{"201261":{"#nid":"201261","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Public Lecture: Baseball and Physics: \u0022You Can Observe a Lot by Watching\u0022","body":[{"value":"\u003Ch4\u003ESchool of Physics Public Lecture: Presenting Alan Nathan, UIUC\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFollowing Yogi Berra\u0027s advice, I will use high-speed video clips to highlight some of the interesting physics underlying the game of baseball. \u0026nbsp;The talk will focus on two broad aspects of the game: \u0026nbsp;the physics of the baseball-bat collision and the flight of the baseball through the air.
