Purpose:
To honor Georgia Tech international students who have contributed significantly to the internationalization of the Georgia Tech campus and have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills while at GA Tech.
Award:
Recipients will be honored at the annual GT Up with the White and Gold Ceremony.
Qualifications:
1. Be in good academic standing with Georgia Tech
2. Be in status with your F-1 or J-1 visa
3. Be an active member of a cultural/nationality club at Georgia Tech
4. Hold at least one leadership position on campus
5. Attend at least one leadership seminar or conference while at Georgia Tech
6. Participate in at least one community service/service learning opportunity
How to Apply:
All F-1 and J-1 students have access to the iStart portal (iStart.gatech.edu). Applicants should login into iStart and complete the e-form entitled "International Student Leadership Award Application and Recommendation"
Please note: the application is not complete until the faculty/staff member submits his/her electronic recommendation. Printed recommendation letters will not be accepted. Both parts of the application must be submitted by the deadline. Therefore, please give the faculty/staff member an ample amount of time to complete the recommendation before the deadline (March 15th, 2013, 4:30pm).
