It’s a simple idea: students send a thank-you note to someone who is helping them learn (or has helped in the past) — and in doing so, they let Georgia Tech know that students value good teaching.

The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) is partnering with Georgia Tech Student Ambassadors to make this program a huge success. CETL then prints the note and sends it to the appropriate person with a certificate and letter explaining that a student has written a note on their behalf. Recipients of the notes are then invited to attend the annual Dean Griffin Day Luncheon, a gala event that is hosted by the Georgia Tech Student Ambassadors.

Dean George C. Griffin was a cherished member of the Georgia Tech community—initially as a student, then as a coach, a mathematics professor, a dean, and an alumni club organizer. During his 50 years on campus, George Griffin left a lasting impression on the Georgia Tech community.
