We will discuss the socio-ecological model to provide a framework for understanding, , which diagrammatically illustrates the concept of health as a constant interplay between the individual and the environment. In this context, rethinking the design of places \u2013 including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and medical clinics \u2013 will allow us to promote better health outcomes. In addition, within the larger context, the therapeutic role of public spaces such as parks and\u0026nbsp;greenspace\u0026nbsp;should be considered as a critical element in the design of these places. \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWe will have two presentations on the topic. The first will be given by a researcher from Georgia Tech\u0027s College of Architecture who will describe innovative evidence-based design strategies for healthcare facilities that promote healing.
