{"176401":{"#nid":"176401","#data":{"type":"news","title":"MLK\u2019s Eldest Son to Give Annual Lecture","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EOn Jan. 16, members of the Georgia Tech and Atlanta communities are invited to hear Martin Luther King III deliver the Institute\u2019s second annual Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Lecture.\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EKing, the oldest son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, is a leading advocate for strategic nonviolent action to rid the world of social, political and economic injustice. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cDiversity is one of Georgia Tech\u2019s greatest assets and priorities, and we\u2019re delighted to have Dr. King\u2019s son speak at this event that has become the centerpiece of our MLK celebration,\u201d said Archie Ervin, vice president for Institute Diversity. \u201cIt is our hope that events like this one will spark discussion and renew enthusiasm for building the kind of society Dr. King hoped to create.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe lecture will be held at 3 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
