This international event is the organization\u0027s premier festival and the Jazz Ensemble will be performing alongside six hundred other musicians over the January 2-5 weekend.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ETech\u2019s Jazz Ensemble, made up of large jazz groups and smaller combos, is directed by Dr. Chip Crotts, an assistant professor of the School of Music. The ensemble was one of just thirty groups from across the nation chosen to perform at this year\u2019s conference. Among those, only fifteen are university jazz groups.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cThere has definitely been a lot of interest [in the Jazz Festival] throughout the School of Music.
