The course helps participants prepare for their certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as become a better project manager in their respective fields. \u0026nbsp;Participants will learn about all nine areas and five process groups that have been established by the Project Management Institute (PMI), which is the worlds\u2019 association for the project management profession.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EProject management\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Eis the application of knowledge, skills and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently. It\u2019s a strategic competency for organizations, enabling them to tie project results to business goals \u2014 and thus, better compete in their markets.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECourse participants will earn 1.4 Continuing Education Credits (CEU).\u0026nbsp; They will also receive\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EA Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;(PMBOK), which is the industry standard for project manage instruction.\u0026nbsp; PMI\u2019s standards for project, program and portfolio management are the most widely recognized standards in the profession, and increasingly the model for project management in business and government.
