142881 news 1343320719 1475896356 <![CDATA[New Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement Coming Your Way]]> The Office of Student Involvement and the Office of Community Service are merging into one office under the new name, the Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement.  A formal launch of this office, including an updated mission, vision, and description, will follow later in the year after the hiring of a permanent Director.  As recently announced, Dean Cara Appel-Silbaugh is serving as the Interim Director of the Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement. A new search to find a permanent Director will be launched in early fall.

In the meantime, we are actively moving forward with the merger and name change.  We are in the process of updating signage, online information, etc. Please assist us in this effort by using the new office name and referencing the office accordingly, especially in any power point / presentations and website links that direct students to our office. 

If you have questions or need additional clarification, please contact Sarah Perkins at sarah.perkins@gatech.edu.  The Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement continues to be a part of the Office of the Dean of Students and the office location will remain in Student Center Commons, Room 2211.  In addition, you can continue to use the main office phone line (404-894-3458) and websites (involvement.gatech.edu and service.gatech.edu).
