The article highlights the language programs at Georgia Tech, especially the LBAT programs and the International Plan, and the benefits students receive by studying in depth in a foreign country: increased language skills, understanding of the country and people, and better job prospects. The article also mentions the role of sponsors, and quotes Marnite Calder, the Executive Director of The Halle Foundation. The foundation is a major sponsor of the German program at Georgia Tech, funding students' participation in the LBAT and subsequent studies at German universities.
