Cozzens\u003C\/strong\u003E, professor in the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003ESchool of Public Policy\u003C\/strong\u003E and director of the Technology Policy and Assessment Center, who was one of the sixteen panelists. \u201cThe catalogue of indicators provided has been vetted with the world\u2019s experts and should prove widely useful.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe panel was convened by the Council of Canadian Academies at the behest of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) which spends approximately one billion dollars a year on scientific research.
