Adventure orientation programs have been very popular at colleges for decades. Over the last few years, more and more universities have added these important programs. Six years ago, we created the first Tech Treks program for incoming freshman – it was just one long weekend of camping and rafting for 30 students. This summer we will have eight adventures for up to 200 students covering a total of 56 days.”

These expeditions are beginner friendly but do range in degree of commitment.

The three day Tech Treks Southeast programs are great for students who have never camped out before and just want a fun weekend getaway with fellow students doing some great activities like rafting and rock climbing. Don't worry - Tech provides all the needed gear and equipment as well as training. Best of all, these trips take place just before or right after the FASET sessions. Note: students can sign up for any Tech Treks Southeast dates even if it does not coincide with their respective FASET session. Click here for more information.

The Minnesota Boundary Waters Canoe Trek is a medium sized adventure - nine days of canoe camping that is beginner friendly and includes rock climbing and a tour of the International Wolf Center.
