{"123461":{"#nid":"123461","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Film Screening: Witness to Wind and War","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EContraband Cinema presents a series of short films that ponder apocalyptic landscapes - imagined, constructed, abandoned and found.\u0026nbsp; Georgia Tech Visiting Assistant Professor and Artist-in-Residence Ruth Dusseault and artist Kelly Sears will be screened as part of a series of topical events at the new venue 489 Edgewood.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOn the military line we will view Dusseault\u0027s\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003ED-Day Joplin\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;which traverses two landscapes, one constructed by humans for a paintball D-Day reenactment, the other just miles away in tornado devastated Joplin, Missouri.\u0026nbsp;The evening will close with Dusseault\u0027s award-winning \u003Cem\u003E21st \u0026amp; 20th\u003C\/em\u003E which transforms a junk yard existing on the Enola Gay launch site into a single take moving backdrop for the 1952 nuclear age cartoon Astro Boy.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EOnce It Started It Could Not End\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;by Sears finds the imprint of a high school disaster through the pages of abandoned yearbooks.
