<![CDATA[Georgia Tech Night at the Woodruff Arts Center]]> 27469 Students can enjoy Georgia Tech performances, tickets to the High Museum of Art and the Alliance Theatre, snacks and refreshments — all free of charge! Come out and enjoy all the the Woodruff Arts Center has to offer. Stinger buses will provide free pick-up and drop-off at the Student Center before and after the event.

Buses will run circuits from the south side of the Student Center to the Woodruff Arts Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A final pickup at 10:30 p.m. will return students to campus. Shuttles now run each Thursday evening from campus to the arts center, regardless of whether there is a special Tech event going on.

Each Georgia Tech student is permitted one non-GT guest, and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the event.

 

Woodruff Arts Center Student Pass

Students can attend many more performances at the Woodruff Arts Center for free with purchase of the Woodruff Arts Center Student Pass. This $20 pass allows for free entry to events with the High Museum, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Alliance Theatre with ticket reservations throughout the year. Passes can be purchased at the Ferst Center Box Office.

<![CDATA[America Invents Act Implementation Roadshow]]> 27508 The Patent and Trademark Resource Center at Georgia Tech Library will host the America Invents Act Implementation Roadshow on September 24 at the Georgia Tech Student Center from 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

This is event is one of the eight roadshows hosted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) during September 2012 to share information about new final rules implementing provisions of the America Invents Act that became effective on September 16, 2012.  The final rules relate to provisions for inventor’s oath/declaration, preissuance submissions, citation of patent owner statements, supplemental examination, inter partes review, post grant review, and covered business method review.  The final rules were published in the Federal Register.

The roadshows are free and open to the public; pre-registration is not  
required.  Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
