Mr. Hayes is currently the Chairman of NOWaccount, a merchant services system that works with B2B businesses to provide access to capital that is tied up in outstanding receivables. He has over 35 years of experience in developing technology-based companies and was the chairman of the Georgia Tech Committee of 20, the group that initiated the effort to create the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) on the Georgia Tech campus in 1979. In 1974 he created, in association with Wang Laboratories, the first computer-based word processing system. He was also co-founder and president of the company that built the first microcomputer accounting software, now called Peachtree Accounting. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EMr. Hayes co-founded Comsell, an early producer of online interactive technology, which was sold to News Corporation in 1986. Comsell developed in partnership with Intelligent Systems the \u0022Picture Computing\u0022 line of products including the full color graphics technology used by IBM for the early PCs.
