The performance of nanometal-based sensors\nis improved by tailoring the properties of the metal\/metal oxide nanostructures\nthrough engineering of morphology, composition, and surface functionality.\nThese nanostructured metals are expected to find applications in bioimaging and\nminiaturized biosensing devices.
