{"110951":{"#nid":"110951","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Tech Earns its Gold in STARS Report","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EContinuing its record of achievement in campus\nsustainability, Georgia Tech recently achieved a gold rating from the\nSustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS), a program of the\nAssociation for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ETech earned an overall score of 80 percent, achieving\nhighest marks in the Education and Research category where it earned 98.75\npercent. The STARS rating also breaks down Tech\u2019s sustainability achievements\nin the categories of Operations; Planning, Administration and Engagement; and\nInnovation. Each category is further segmented to show what services and\ninitiatives Georgia Tech offers and rates each on a point scale.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EOf the 161 STARS\nregistrants that submitted reports, only 28 have been ranked gold. STARS\nratings are valid for three years, but institutions may submit annually to\nupdate information.
