Sean graduated from from the University of Delaware, majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in biology. He began graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working with Doug Lauffenburger in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Alan Horwitz in the Department of Cell and Structural Biology. Sean moved with Lauffenburger moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, continuing his collaboration with Horwitz, and completing his PhD at MIT.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EEvery semester, the SCEC welcomes a keynote speaker to the Georgia Tech stem cell research community to speak on behalf of their university, institution, industry, or research lab in regards to stem cell engineering.
