ISCA, which is short for International Speech Communication Association, is an organization that promotes activities and exchanges in all fields related to speech communication science and technology.

A professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, Dr. Lee will receive this honor at INTERSPEECH 2012, which will be held September 9-13, 2012 in Portland, Ore., and he will give a keynote address after he is presented with this honor. The conference is the world's largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on speech and language processing and its applications.
