- Thursday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Neely Lobby.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFeatured Panelists are:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Adegboyega \u0026quot;Yomi\u0026quot; Oyelere -- Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDr. Steven Hira -- post-doctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr.\u0026nbsp;Christine Payne,\u0026nbsp;Assistant Professor\u0026nbsp;of Chemistry and Biochemistry,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003Eand\u0026nbsp;Nazanin Masoodzadehgan -- graduate student\u0026nbsp;in the laboratory of Dr. Gang Bao,\u0026nbsp;Professor of\u0026nbsp;Biomedical Engineering.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThey will discuss\u0026nbsp;the use of\u0026nbsp;gold nanoparticles for\u0026nbsp;targeted drug delivery into tumor cells, intracellular synthesis of conducting polymer nanowires, and the use of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles as MRI contrast agents and hyperthermia agents for cancer cells.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis is the fourth installment of the\u0026nbsp;Blended\u0026nbsp;Research Series presented by the Faculty Engagement Department.\u0026nbsp;
