According to Dr. Anderson Smith, senior vice provost for Academic Affairs, \u0022This is a coordinated effort among the colleges at Georgia Tech to provide the assortment of courses students need to complete their degree in a timely fashion.\u0022 \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ECurrently enrolled Tech students benefit from the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.bursar.gatech.edu\/tuiandfee.php\u0022\u003Eguaranteed tuition rate policy\u003C\/a\u003E which effectively locks-in tuition rates for four consecutive years. \u0022This enhanced offering for summer session will provide students with better access to classes that are sometimes difficult to register for and help students complete more credit hours while their tuition is locked-in,\u0022 Smith said. \u0022Once a student is enrolled past the 4th year, their tuition can increase substantially - 40 percent or higher. This is a real opportunity for students to leverage summer enrollment as a means to manage their course-load under the current tuition policy.\u0022\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EPhase I or early registration for summer 2009 begins March 25 and ends on April 5, 2009.
