CRC offers a variety of unique student job opportunities in member services, aquatics, outdoor recreation, fitness, facilities, marketing, and intramurals. With a wide selection of positions available, students are able to pick areas of employment that best suit their interests, academic schedule and work styles.
The CRC promotes an academic-work balanced environment to ensure that school is the student's top priority. Out of respect for hefty academic schedules, we typically require that students commit a minimum of nine hours a week (far below the usual twenty hours a week that off-campus jobs require). The CRC is open nineteen hours a day which ensures that student will have a job that is flexible with his/her workload.

The Hiring Expo itself is an invaluable learning tool that utilizes current student staff to hire other students. Tech students already working at the CRC who wish to interview new applicants are trained by Georgia Tech's Office of Human Resources in interview practices. Elam Hill, a double major senior in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics, has interviewed prospective candidates in the Hiring Expo for the past two years. "I found it to be a unique experience that allowed insight into general hiring practices employed by major companies."

Students applying for their first job will truly get the "real world" experience. They must prepare a resume, fill out an application, and dress for success. Those selected for interviews will have the chance to practice interview skills in potentially two rounds of interviews (student staff and CRC professional staff). This allows them to critique and modify interview behaviors to get ready for that first big job. Career Services is also offering a session to give advice on interviewing techniques and resume writing tips. "The Hiring Expo not only gives CRC managers the ability to streamline the hiring process, but most importantly, attracts skilled and talented students while providing development opportunities for our current student staff," says Stephanie Gericke, CRC Hiring Expo Coordinator.

CRC Hiring Expo Information Sessions:
Wednesday, March 25 at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., or 8 p.m.
Thursday, March 26 at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., or 7 p.m.

To be considered for employment students must attend one of the 45-minute sessions listed above.
