The university is charged with coordinating a regional network of colleges and universities to research transportation funding, infrastructure, and impact. Tech received $7 million. Within the university, the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development (CQGRD) will collaborate with the Civil Engineering department and other participants. Dr. Catherine Ross, CQGRD director, noted that an advisory panel has already agreed on broad principles for the program.
