The School of Biology hosted a table at last Friday's Earth Day Celebration on campus. Members of Meghan Duffyâs lab set up microscopes and showed visitors plankton samples collected from local lakes. They also introduced visitors to the problem of eutrophication in lakes, which is an increase in nutrient levels that leads to excessive algal growth. Even Captain Planet stopped by!]]>
