  <body><![CDATA[<p>Congratulations to Mark Hay (Professor and Teasley Chair in Environmental Biology), recipient of the Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award. This is the highest honor given to a Georgia Tech professor and is richly deserved by Dr. Hay. The Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award recognizes sustained outstanding achievement in teaching, research and service. </p>
<p>This award is presented to a professor who has made significant, long-term contributions in teaching, research, and public service. Dr. Hay's contributions have brought wide-spread recognition to both the School of Biology and the Institute. The Distinguished Professor Award was instituted in 1984 by the Class of 1934 in observance of its 50th Anniversary. </p>]]></body>
