Boris Mizaikoff Named AAAS Fellow

Dr. Boris Mizaikoff, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been elected to the rank of AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) Fellow.

Each year the Council elects members whose "efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished." The honor of being elected a Fellow of AAAS began in 1874 and is acknowledged with a certificate and a rosette.

Dr. Mizaikoff is being honored for building bridges with industry through academic research in sensors and for facilitating technology transfer between academia and industry.

The award will be presented on Saturday, February 17, 2007 in San Francisco during the AAAS Fellows Forum, a part of the Association's Annual Meeting.
