April 15th was a wonderful day for the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, with recognition of a number of individuals at the Faculty/Staff Honors Luncheon.

Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award
Charles Liotta

Charlie is the latest member of the School's faculty to receive this award, the most prestigious award made by the Institute to a member of the faculty. Previous recipients include Mostafa El Sayed, Jim Powers and Chuck Eckert (ChBE, adjunct in CHEM). It is a tradition that the recipient of this award make the address to graduates at the summer commencement - so get your tickets to that event soon!
