As the widow of the murdered civil rights leader Medgar Evers and the first fulltime chair of the NAACP, Myrlie Evers-Williams has a lifetime of personal and professional memories and experiences associated with the civil rights movement. She has spent her life preserving the memory of Medgar Evers and fighting for social justice.
