Ludovice to Host a Humoroous Look at Statistics on Nov. 11 in Libary

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech’s very own funny man Associate Professor Pete Ludovice will present his one-man show using humor to illustrate the value of statistics in our data-driven world Nov. 11 in the Georgia Tech Library.

"Feel the Power of the Dork Side" is a funny and educational presentation on basic statistics following a 20-30 minute period of collecting real-time data from the audience for use in the statistical calculations. Ludovice guarantees the show will make 63.1 ± 3.4% of you laugh until you cry and teach you to never trust a number without an error bar on it. "Feel the Power of the Dork Side" starts at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in the Library East Commons.

The audience can get involved by taking a survey on their smartphones before the show. Ludovice will take his one-man show on the road for the New Orleans Fringe Festival November 16-19.

Dr. Ludovice lectures internationally on the use of humor in technical communication and education. He conducts research with the Improvisation for Design of Engineering Alternatives, a group of Tech researchers who apply the techniques of improvisational humor to technical innovation.

Join Dr. Ludovice at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in the Georgia Tech Library’s East Commons for “Feel the Power of the Dork Side.” For more information, visit http://www.drpetecomedy.com/dorkside.
