Vice President of Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) Stephen Fleming (left) and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development John Fernandez (right) presented the inaugural GCMI Innovation Award to CardioScout, a new medical device company formed from an idea developed by Georgia Tech students and members of the Saint Joseph’s Translational Research Institute (SJTRI) staff. Dr. James Fonger (center) accepted the $50,000 award on behalf of the new company.
