Green Awareness 5K Run/Walk

The School of Building Construction and the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association will host the 3rd Annual Green Awareness 5K race to benefit HomeAid Atlanta Saturday, Sept. 10, on the Georgia Tech Campus. The race begins at 8 a.m. and registration and packet pick-up begins at 7 a.m. All registered runners will receive a t-shirt at check-in; post-race activities include refreshments, green awareness informational booths and prizes to the top age finishers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit HomeAid Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates transitional housing facilities that serve homeless families and individuals in the metro Atlanta area.

 

Registration Information:

Registration is now open!

  • Before Aug. 26: Cost is $20 for general public and $12 for students. Children under 12 are free.
  • After August 26: Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for students. Children under 12 are free. Registration is available at active.com for the general public and through www.atlantahomebuilders.com for HBA members. Mail-in registration is also available.
  • Runners and walkers are welcome.

 

Parking and Race Details:
  • Parking is free in the Klaus parking deck; entrance is across from the Georgia Tech baseball stadium.
  • Registration and post-race activities will be in the open area next to the School of Building Construction in the Klaus Courtyard.
  • Packet pick-up begins at 7 a.m.; race around Georgia Tech's campus begins at 8 a.m.
