The Writing & Communication Program invites you to its final Communication Colloquium of the semester, featuring lectures by Lauren Curtright and Thomas Lolis.

Presentation Title: "Digital Transformations of Writing on Edgar Allan Poe"

Lauren Curtright has a doctorate from the University of Minnesota; her dissertation explored ways in which visual representations of Edgar Allan Poe have shaped his status in literary studies and popular imaginaries.

Presentation Title: “Teaching Lies: Propaganda and Disinformation in the Classroom”

Thomas Lolis has taught writing and communication courses at GT on the rhetoric of conspiracy within dissenting communities; his research is focused on early modern natural philosophy, the history of science, narratives of religious dissent, and the history of visual rhetoric.
