Georgia Electronic Design Center Spring Review

The Georgia Electronic Design Center 2011 Spring Review Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, from 8 am-4 pm. Morning events (8 am-12:15 pm) will take place at the Global Learning Center, Room 222, while lunch and the afternoon events will take place in the Technology Square Research Building Conference Area, located on the first floor.

The day's activities will begin with networking and a continental breakfast. A welcome will be provided by Stephen Cross, Georgia Tech executive vice president for research; Mark Allen, senior vice provost for research and innovation; and Gary May, Steve W. Chaddick School Chair for the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The meeting will feature GEDC faculty and student presentations on current research and highlights of completed research.
Bernard Meyerson, IBM Fellow and vice president for innovation, will deliver a keynote address entitled "The Coincidence of Societal and Technological Challenges." After lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a second keynote address delivered by Mark Phelps, senior program director for diagnostics and monitoring at Medtronics, entitled "Implantable Medical Device Electronics: Past, Present, and Future." Additional GEDC faculty and student presentations and tours will conclude the day's events.
