AAPI Community Conversation

Primary tabs

The Office of Student Diversity Programs is hosting Georgia Tech’s first-ever campus-wide Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) month. In addition to Tech’s campus-wide celebration, GTRI has created a space for our Asian American and Pacific Islander community to process and reflect on the recent events in Atlanta and our nation.

The employee resource group IDENTIFY@GTRI invites all members of the AAPI community to attend a Community Conversation facilitated by Karen Yiu, the coordinator for Student Diversity Programs and AAPI Month organizer. This event will serve as a safe space where you will be free to voice your perspective, and consider integral strategies for healing, resilience, and moving forward with hope and purpose.

Phoebe Chiem, Billbang Sayasean, and Benjamin Yang will serve as hosts of the conversation, sharing personal experiences and insight during the event. Alongside them, you will have an opportunity to share personal stories, reflections, emotions, and experiences, or simply sit back and listen to others in the community. There will also be a Q&A window on WebEx where you can submit questions during the event.
