USPTO Summer Series at Georgia Tech | Trademark Basics
Primary tabs
The Georgia Tech Library’s Patent and Trademark Resource Center, in partnership with United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), offers for the first time a six-week intellectual property summer series online. This series includes ten workshops led by USPTO experts through June and July, and all workshops are free and open to the public.
This module will cover the basic facts about trademarks. We will explore the different types of trademarks, including names, designs, logos, and trade dress. We will discuss strategies to perform a trademark search, strengthen descriptive marks, and layout the steps to file a trademark application and all fees associated with trademarks.
