Finalists Chosen in School of Public Policy Chair Search

Two finalists have been chosen in the search for the School of Public Policy chair position. Faculty, staff and students will have the opportunity to engage with the candidates during virtual interviews in early February.

As part of the final selection process, candidates will present a seminar addressing their broad vision for the school. The virtual candidate seminars will be open to the Georgia Tech community including students, faculty, and staff. Interested individuals can watch virtually in real-time, or watch a post-event video of each candidate presentation.                    

The finalists are included below in order of their campus finalist presentations:

  • Cassidy Sugimoto, professor, Department of Informatics; School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington will present an open seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
     
  • Joshua Rosenbloom, professor and chair, Department of Economics at Iowa State University and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research will present an open seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Additional details can be found on the School of Public Policy chair search website, including each respective candidate’s biography and curriculum vitae as well as links to the candidate seminar and candidate evaluation surveys. The campus community is invited to provide feedback on both candidates on the candidate evaluation survey, which will be available through midnight on Friday, Feb. 12.
