The summer semester is its own type of academic journey...but no need to tackle it on your own! One of Undergraduate Advising & Transition's premier services is 1-on-1 Academic Coaching sessions with professional Learning Specialists. These appointments (offered virtually) provide students with a game plan as well as the chance to enhance their academic skills, gain confidence, discover motivation, and improve performance. Sign up for free Academic Coaching here. To look at our library of Online Workshops, covering topics like Time Management, Study Strategies, and Test Prep, go here.

Click on these links to access two of our most popular tools: Summer Semester @ a Glance and Study Strategies for Online Learning. The Semester @ a Glance lets you look at your semester from a long-term perspective, keeping track of major deadlines. The Study Strategies for Online Learning can help remind you of important factors that can affect your success this summer due to virtual learning. Academic Coaches are more than happy to talk about both of these resources and many more.

What is Academic Coaching?

Academic Coaching provides students with the chance to work individually with professional staff members to enhance their academic skills, gain confidence, discover motivation, and improve performance. Students usually schedule a 45-60 minute meeting every two weeks or once a month, depending on their individual need. Academic Coaching is available year round so schedule your appointment now.

They employ peer tutors and leaders to meet with you and provide more perspective to your academic challenges through 1-on-1 tutoring, PLUS sessions for certain classes, and drop-in tutoring. All of these services are available virtually. For more information, go here.

Finally, we also offer Exploratory Advising, a collaborative effort to help students craft tailored degree plans through the exploration of majors, minors, certificates, and introspective assessments targeted at helping students develop and discover their academic and career goals.
