Graduate SGA Launches Inaugural Grad Gala

Primary tabs

On Friday, March 6, the graduate Student Government Association (SGA) will host its first-ever Grad Gala at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. The evening will consist of dancing, music, food, and drinks. All graduate students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni are welcome to attend. Formal dress is required.

The Grad Gala is designed to help graduate students deepen their connection to the Georgia Tech community. Students will be able to spend an elegant evening celebrating their graduate school experience with a night of mingling and networking with their peers.

Tickets for the event include access to the Fernbank Museum and its exhibits during the gala. In selecting Fernbank as the venue, the graduate SGA considered it a perfect place to celebrate stories — and in particular, graduate students’ stories — and to launch what the organization hopes will be a new Georgia Tech tradition.

“Our entire team is extremely excited to be planning the Gala for their peers this year,” said Harshit Daga, Vice President of Graduate Events, and Jyotsna Ramachandran, Vice President of Graduate Conference Funds. “We hope that this will be a memorable evening that will be cherished by graduate students for years to come.”

Grad Gala tickets are currently on sale through University Tickets and will be available until Feb. 27 for students and March 3 for faculty, staff, and administration. Signups for free transportation to and from the venue can be found here until March 1, though free parking is also available at Fernbank.
